The Hootenanny Junto
origin story.
Draft · pg. 1R.A.
Hootenanny Power is a radio show
I've listened to since coming to Baton Rouge
in 2005.
It's been Saturday nights at 9 p.m. on WRKF Public Radio since 1981.
You tune in, or you stream, or you miss it.
No replays.
There is no advertising or social media, and I've always loved that about it.
The word junto goes back to Ben Franklin and refers to his group that gathered to ask better questions and share ideas.
The Hootenanny Junto is somewhere in between.
It's partly professional and partly creative.
